Banfield Pet Hospital in Wentzville, Missouri - Banfield Rancho Cucamonga is horrible

The staff at this office upsell their customers for services not needed. When you complain to their staff about the upsells and the Corporate office they tell you what will make you go away and make promises that they will take care of things but don't. Instead their way of taking care of it is sending you to collections when you didnt know you owed money. This office changes staff frequently, why? It's because they want sales versus what is best for your pet and you. They give pets shots not needed in California, as other vets laugh that your pet got them. Working with them is like working with a used car salesman! Don't go to Banfield , go to a vet that cares about your pet and your repeat business.

Jodie at this office will lie to customers. The doctors there do not care and one can't even speak English clearly. They get the grads from the local vet school who haven't practiced professionally yet and you are stuck with them upselling tests because they don't know what to do!

If you complain to Corporate, they don't do anything and won't even return calls.

Ask anyone in the area who owns a pet, you go to that office and they wants hundreds of dollars for services and when you see another vet, they are amazed and tell you the tests are not needed.

Don't go to this office unless you want to waste money and your time!

Our story with BanfIeld begins on August 25th 2010. My 11 week old black lab puppy and boyfriend were running thru the front yard when he ran between his legs and he stepped on his back leg. He let out the loudest cry I have ever heard out of a dog.So immediately my...

if you think a misdiagnosis was made, you have every right to contact the state board of veterinary medicine. they will guide you, and likely will investigate.

you have every right to access your pets medical records, including the radiographs (typically there is no charge for this, but the radiographs do belong to the hospital that took/exposed them, and do need to be returned to them in a reasonable time frame).

IF a misdiagnosis was made, you may (likely are) be entitled to financial re-imbursement as well and compensation for ongoing care. good luck and i hope your puppy is ok :-)

Today I dropped off my dog at Banfield Pet Hospital for have his teeth cleaned. As instructed, I did not feed him past 8pm the prior evening. His appointment was for 8:00am the following day. When we arrived at 8:00am things seemed to be fine. They were ready for...

Dogs stay in the hospital for this length because it is a surgery! This means pre anesthetic bloodwork has to be pulled and run, pre Jed's given after exam, then the anesthetic event, then recovery before going home.

This is not a short event. And, your pet is not the only surgical patient.

In the human world, I had an outpatient anesthetic event, in the hospital for 8 hours after a 12 hour fast, not allowed to be alone for two days post. It's no different

Omg! My cat is dying because of a botched dental surgery at Banfield and they refuse to take responsibility!

He has subcutaneous emphysema from a 'hole' somewhere. He was fine prior to this surgery and now they want hundreds of dollars to 'try' to diagnose the problem! They shrug their shoulders and say they have never seen this before.

My cat has so much air under his skin that he is more than twice his normal size and crackles when you pet him. He barely eats or moves now.

I have always tried to stay away from Banfield Animal Hospital, but, I ran into a snag a few months ago. I took my kitty into Banfield in Newbury Park, CA. Dr. Louis Bremer was on that day, and I WAS IMPRESSED. His knowledge coupled with his gentility and kindness (...

Banfield Pet Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee - First Shield

I purchased First Shield today to apply on my dog. Did not receive application directions, maybe because I bought a 1-time application. Went on line to get directions, and all I see are complaints and dangers of this product. Now I'm hesitant to use First Shield on my dog. I'm neutral on this product, but with all the complaints, I plan to call Banfield tomorrow and talk again with the Vet. prior to using product on my dog. After discussing with Banfield I will decide to use or not use First Sheild. They highly recommended (First Shield) and said it worked better than (Front Line)

I purchased first shield for my dogs in asheville, NC banfield after they no longer carried the others. It has been the worst experience for me and almost killed 1 of the 3 dogs as permethrin is toxic.

When i first applied they were crying and rolling around on the ground like mad.. like it was burning them.. which now when i look back and it was. They never have had any reaction to others flea/tick like this one.

Not to mention the worst part of it is that they all caught Cheyletiellosis while being on this horrible stuff.

They have been suffering for months because of lying people just trying to make a buck. WARNING DO NOT USE!!

It's a very effective flea prevention. Just like with all flea preventions, there is some level of toxicity warnings...

But they are extremely rare. Banfield would not prescribe something that would harm your pet.

? Banfield is a medical hospital.

Do you throw a hissy fit when you aren't seen quickly at the doctors office? Your emergency may not be the only one entering the hospital, Banfield makes a point to see the biggest emergencies first.

Taking care of your pet is what they chose to pay lots of money to go to school to do... they obviously care.

Banfield Pet Hospital- confidence scheme beware

A shoddy operation from the get go. A scam. Especially beware of the "wellness plan"!! Just a scam. Go to a licensed vet who is not connected with a commerial outlet and get the prescriptions you need. Avoid the bother of the "free visit coupon" You will only be told what they want you to spend. They will promote their wellness plans it is presented in a most intimidating way to alarm the pet owner. What is pushed is the most expensive alternative. When I left, I had the kind of headache you only get at time share presentations, etc.

All Banfield vets are licensed, and wellness plans have been a saving grace to many pets, it saves money and insures your pet is getting the preventative care he/she needs! I don't see what is so bad about that!

I have been reading Banfield reviews all day...I started out looking into their Wellness Plan, then reading what their consumers say. It appears that quality medical care for animals is a joke, money is the ONLY thing that moves them, that they less than stellar Vets, and non-trained help. I'd rather take my dog to Mexico than any Banfield clinic.
