Mckinney texas petsmart banfield If you care about your pet do no go here The only 2 things they were good at were selling insurance and billing I tested the vet( and I apologize to real veterinary professionals for calling this person a vet) with a few questions. I agree, if you want to save your pet, keep it at home. My dog, Missy would still be alive if I didnt take her to Banfield, in Deptford, NJ on 11/25/14 .

Read her full story at banfieldkilledmissy.com. All they care about is racking up charges. They dont care about your pets. There is one good vet there though that I love and who you can truely tell is there for animals.

It is Jan Oliver. So sad she wasnt in on the day I took Missy in. I have no doubt she would still be alive if she wasnt seen by Dr Sara Garrison and Dr Amber Karwacki. I cant even stomach calling those 2 doctors.

I will miss Dr Oliver, but I am NEVER giving any Banfield or Petsmart another cent.

I hope Dr Oliver realizes that the entire Banfield company EVERYWHERE is a bad place and she will leave and not be associated with such a horrible place. Being associated with such a corupt place could ruin her career.

Thats how big business works. They dont get rich and afford to have +800 hospitals by being nice or giving you a great deal.

They are only able to do that by making a lot of profit, and that profit can only come from theie clients.

Princess Rose has been treated by Banfield doctor Miu Douglas and I have no complaints about the hospital. However, I do believe that Banfield exploits customers and their pet when it comes to the wellness program. I think that their policies are not explained fully and they misrepresent the wellness plan to reel in customers. Let me explain. I learned that the Wellness Plan is only, well, for dogs who are well. In addition, you cannot cancel at any time unless you pay off your debt with them for services rendered in which would be difficult as your pet needs to be cared for yearly or when necessary. You will never be free of payments and this is a binding contract - let's just say you signed at the bottom line with your blood and your pets' blood. The hospital can never tell you how much you will be paying for each visit in addition to the plan. The response is we will tell you after we have seen the dog. The bill is usually high and expensive leaving the pet owner in a frenzy. I, unfortunately, am disabled and I am limited to what things I can purchase. I have two pets and had one alone before rescuing P. Rose. They have been great blessings in my life and my concern is their health and my inability to care for them. I try my best to give them quality foods and care, but exploiting a customer financially who loves their pet should be a crime. Here is the scam: the plan does not cover "a sick pet" and only covers for those pets who are "well". What a crock?!? They cash in when your pet is "sick". Recently, P. Rose ate something that made her very sick. The hospital called me to tell me that they wanted to take some x-rays and something else. In total, my bill would have been $800.00. I told them to give her only the medication she needed as I am not well off as most of their clients and am a disabled person living on disability. Well, Princess Rose got well and has been well since. I think that imposing unnecessary services is also exploitation. However, I have repeatedly sought advise on what to feed my pet and I was told that I should not let her get too fat! HUH! WTH is wrong with these people. P. Rose is not overweight at all. She is a very picky eater because the people who had her before fed her house foods. She refuses to eat from her plate and wants mine. I left the hospital dumbfounded and confused. Like, what just happened here. Did she take a look at P. Rose. She is well developed, but I thought she was a bit too thin. Well, I fed her almost everything and a little stubbornness has helped some. She was 8 to 9 lbs and now she has gone from 12 to 13lbs. She is her ideal weight. I have been giving her vitamins and so forth. On 9/12/14, Mrs. Lorie Buchanan was the cause of my desire to cancel the plan. After explaining that I was uncertain about the plan and services, she began to rant and rave about an outstanding bill of services that I am obligated to pay. The amount was close to 1,000.00. I called the hospital and confirmed that I was not in debt with them. I called back and asked to have my plan canceled. It was not done and the cancellation department is just as bad as the customer service at Banfield. Nothing was done and they continued to extract payments. Luckily, I contacted my bank and explained what had happened. It is why I stated earlier that my pet and I signed the contract with blood. It is like signing a contract with Satan and selling your soul. You never actually are free from the contract and it is lifetime binding. Ridiculous, if you asked me. All in all, the treatment is not so bad when you take your pet and they seem to care about the pets. I still feel that they exploit pet owners and their pet when it comes to financing and services. The 800 number is a joke and the people who service you pretend to be kind until you tell them you want to cancel. The devil in them comes out and you are the worst pet owner in all the universe! It is how they make you feel. I am searching for another good insurance, but for now I will have to take her to the ASPCA or the Humane Society. Unless someone knows of a better place for the disabled. I think Banfield intended to be good, but they can be better. All they need to do is revise their policies and have a policy to accommodate the disabled. I am not satisfied and am appalled at the service rendered. Take your pet elsewhere. I give them ZERO stars!

Banfield Pet Hospital - Appointment Review from Valrico, Florida

Last week when I arrived to the hospital with my dog, they made me wait an extra hour for my appointment. One week later, I arrive one hour late due to the rain and traffic (on road for 2 hours), and they say we can't have our appointment. I'm a member already and I have spent $600 on it yet they could not attend me. All that was needed were vaccinations, which would have taken a small bit of time.. The manager Christopher Cifuentes DID NOT do it in a graceful way, though.

Banfield Pet Hospital in Greenville, South Carolina - TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH THEM-both in SC and TX

I've had a year of horrible experiences with them so I'll try to summarize. Initially I needed to get my dog spayed. I called multiple vets to get price comparisons. Banfield was closest to me and quoted it at $200. I take her in and when I come back to pick her up after the operation they give me a bill for over $500. I'm outraged and told them that I was quoted both on the phone and at the desk for $200. They then say that is never their price. Furthermore, I don't even have that much money in my bank account and they are not willing to let me pay it in payments. They refuse to give me my dog unless I pay it all up front. Furthermore, there were additional charges to the $500 that were sketchy, like the doctor billing a buttload for "extra gas" b/c she needed to stay under longer, etc. Then they joyfully proclaim I can sign up for their year wellness plan and get my payment broken into monthly payments. This is an additional charge I'd be committed to pay monthly for a year that I didn't even feel I needed nor was worth it but it was the only way I was going to get to take my dog home so I felt I had no choice. I called multiple times to complain and the doctor there was rude and kept "being too busy" to speak to me. I called head management and of course had to go through hoops just to get a voicemail. I left my number and when I was free to talk. They only called me back once and when I was at work and had specified that I would not be available. They never would return my call again. Over the next year (which JUST expired THANK GOD---soooo glad to be done with them!) their service was continually horrible, poorly run, and always a hassle. Even when I moved to TX, hoping maybe the company would be better elsewhere, it was no different! I took her in for a shot that was covered under my plan and paid in cash to get her microchipped as well. Then I get sent a bill for over $100 for all this *** including a test for what breed she is. I had to go through hoops to convince them I never asked for that and that she is a full-bred Aussie that I got from a breeder w/ all the paperwork. Then I get a call a month later that they are sending me to collections b/c I never paid the $30 for her micro-chip. No warning, just that call. I call back and tell them I paid in cash in person and that I know good and well I paid b/c Banfield never lets you leave without paying! The girl admitted that was true but said she showed no record of it. I told her that was not my fault that someone didn't do their job properly on the computer. She was nice and said she'd look into it and call me back. I never heard back and in another few weeks got another call that I'd been sent to collections. In the end, I had to pay it--AGAIN. So in short, I despise Banfield. NEVER EVER AGAIN.

Banfield rewards incompetency exactly the way you described. Veterinarians who take longer to perform a routine procedure like a spey will charge extra because they cannot get it done quickly.

Some even charge extra for antibiotics because they did not do a sterile procedure.

The company actually likes it when this happens because they get more $$$. Find a competent veterinarian who can finish a spey and have your dog ready to go home in under 3-4 hours.

Banfield Pet Hospital in Monroeville, Pennsylvania - Cancelled my plan without informing me

I was not happy because I could not make use of all the plan due to the dogs illness so I asked for an adjustment. Without advising me they cancelled the plan and sent a refund minus charges they would not explain to me and never have. They overcharge on everything. Lactated Ringers from them 21$ and from elsewhere $5.99. I would be ashamed to work for this Vet and any Vet that is good should be ashamed to work for Banfield. They upsale all of their plans making you feel as if you are getting a bargin yet it does not cover many of the things that your dog needs and they mark everything up so much that they try to make you think you have saved much money and in reality you have not. This is why there is a class action suit against them.
