So sad! So sorry for your loss.

I know the feeling because Banfield in Deptford,NJ killed my Pomeranian, Missy on 11/25/14. The *** Amber karwacki laughed while she was giving my dog CPR. I want justice for Missy so I know how you feel. I started a website with the whole long story, with pictures of Missy and pictures of the 2 *** who killed her (Dr Amber Karwacki and Dr Sara Garrison).

I would encourage everyone who had a pet killed by Banfield to start a web page and tell your story. Then post your link everywhere to make sure you spread the word to warn people about the dangers of trusting a Banfield with your pet.

I must acknowledge though that the Dr who normally sees my 3 dogs is AMAZING (Dr Jan Oliver). I will miss her.

I know if she would have been there the day I took Missy in, Missy would still be alive. I like her, but I will NOT give another cent of my money to ANY Banfield, Petsmart or Mars Candy Company. It is so rare to find a vet at a Banfield who REALLY cares about your pets, so I really hope she realizes that she doesnt belong there.

She is too good to be associated with such a bad company. I hope she realizes she needs to leave Banfield for the sake of her career.

I second your emotions right now! I am furious about the treatment of Princess Rose. The Wellness Plan is well, trash. Princess Rose has been treated with Banfield doctors and staff and every time she comes out of there she begins to shake uncontrollably and as if I have just left her in ***. She runs from the doctors and with fear. Let me just say that I know Princess Rose and her behaviors. All dogs have certain behavior patterns. Well, Princess Rose came from an abuse home and working with her to build her confidence and self-esteem was damned difficult for a hospital and PetSmart to destroy it. I am fuming. I am paying 66.95 for her plan and was informed that this would take care of all of her needs. Lies! I have paid more money during every visit than I pay for the plan. I have paid over 700.00 in just a few visits and the doctor wanted to administered very expensive exams and sort of made me feel as if I were a bad pet owner or parent because I did not want to pay to administer. So after viewing her report, the doctor stated that her condition was poor and needed improvement. Some pills were prescribed that immediately helped P. Rose and her health was stabilized. I think Banfield takes advantage of their patients and pet owners. When I asked what was the plan really for they stated, "It is for your well pet and not for a sick pet." Well, ***, I thought this was like a plan that would cover all of this. I also spoke to Banfield today and spoke to a very rude and confrontational rep who I could have slapped three times over for being verbally abusive. I am so frustrated because P. Rose has had to suffer double the abuse and I am fuming here. Thank God she entered a supportive and loving home, but Banfield has not heard the end of me. PetSmart should be closed down for animal cruelty and charging fraud. I wanted Princess Rose to socialize with other people and dogs because she is very sociable. I do not want her to lose that about her. She is very friendly and docile. She can been dominant, but it is never to the point where it becomes aggression. She protective of her pack and is very friendly and welcoming even with cats! I just cannot understand how people can be so cruel to an animal even to the most difficult animals. P. Rose stood over night at PetSmart and I asked them to groom her fully. She was supposed to be groomed by 1:00 pm the next day. I decided to pick her up a little after her grooming time and called to add additional services before my arrival at 4:00 pm. When I arrived to pick her up she had not eaten the entire night, which means she starved the night through. Apparently dogs become excessively thirsty after having stayed away from home. Princess drinks a certain amount of water at her discretion and no more than she is accustomed by choice. Well, when she arrived she drank nearly three times as much and continued to drink as if she had not drank anything for a full day. I was devastated and felt like having the whole staff investigated and arrested for animal cruelty. To make matters worst, I saw the grooming done. P. Rose when I leave her air dry her hair becomes as though she has locks of curls. She was not properly groomed and I was charged 116.00 for a one night stay and full package grooming at PetSmart 117th Street Mall. What a disgrace! I will never take her to stay there again and am looking for a VET HOSPITAL that really cares and does not care to overcharge their customers. Now, P. Rose does not gravitate to people like she used to do and is very cautious. I do not think this is okay for anyone to do to an animal or people. I left my receipt or printout of services rendered and charges and the staff members confiscated the document and trashed it. When I called to request a copy PetSmart staff stated that this could not be produced again. More lies! P. Rose was never properly groomed and only had a shampoo and rinse. Her ear hairs were ever removed, front paw nails never filed down, and no blow dry, her hair was never cut. She probably was not taken to day care and the ice cream was probably never given to her. I am very distraught over this and seeking an agency or someone to help me with this animal cruelty situation. Check this out! Banfield stated that because I agreed to a plan that I owe them a considerable amount of money for services rendered about $800.00 and until I am not done paying this I will not be able to cancel my services. I asked to speak to a supervisor and I am being given the run around and no one has called me to date. Let me clarify, I owe banfield absolutely nothing. I do not owe them a penny and have paid for all services rendered. I am calling the hospital directly because I am done with them and I am challenging the payments taken. Thieves!!!!!!!!! Abusers!!!!!!! NOTE: IF YOU ARE WISE DO NOT PUT YOURSELF OR YOUR DOG THROUGH THIS ORDEAL. I had no idea and thought that I was providing the best possible care for my dog P. Rose. I am taking her elsewhere and doing a search. I am welcome and open to any suggestions. I wanted to second your feelings ZsRaven. I am one determined pet owner to put an end to pet cruelty and consumer fraud.

Yet another upset person because they didn't read a contract that THEY signed!! Retarded.

I also have a plan & read clearly in all the papers they gave me that IS NOT INSURANCE, it covers office visits, vaccines and a set of bloodwork each year. If you had read the contract YOU signed YOU would know this! Most pets don't like going to the vets because they get injections and don't like their temprature being taken, how is that abuse? It has to be done.

What is the alternative? Nothing you are describing is animal cruelty btw. You just sound like a rambling nut job.

As far as pets not drinking/getting scared at a daycare. She is an abuse case......what did you expect?

That she would love being surrounded by strange people and dogs in a noisy enviroment????

If you care that much don't leave her on her own, or leave her with a friend that she feels comfortable with. The grooming not being done is really the only think that you might even have a right to get upset about.

I have always used advantage on my cat it always works not being able to afford $60 for 3 pack of it someone told me about buying single dose unit. at banfielfd who i have been going to fot vet service I was sold firstshield and was told it was good as advantage or frontline which I find not to be true on the Internet the internet tells me this is a prescription only flea medicine not sold over the counter but yet banfield refused to sell me a medicine I got before that kills fleas heart and tapeworm the girl at the counter they would sell me it but since it has been 6 month since they saw my cat in November they couldn't then the girl changed it too well it's a year and you came in on September 4th and a year ago we saw you on September 7th you missed it by three days now I've given my cat front shield and I hear all this bad *** about I'm really pissed since I find out its there own line of medicine they are pushing off on me they can't tell me I don't know how to use it I've been using advantage for 4 years

Scam. Pls dont bring your pets in this clinic. They are a ripper. Theft clinic , thats supposed to be what they will be called. I joined their plan just to save money for my puppy, who did not last long on my house. He had only one first visit, then after 3 wks ,he was adopted, then I called the clinic and cancel it, they said I have to pay the whole annual fee bec 4 days was passed already . This place sucks! I have tried three different times to cancel and can't ever talk to anyone,call to buy a plan they pick up and will sell you a plan but you have to call a different # to cancel !

Banfield Pet Hospital in Austin, Texas - After three bad visits, all I want is for them to stop charging me

Had problems with Banfield on three different visits. First time, the vet was clearly on some sort of amphetamines, so I got a different vet. After they spayed my cat, they sent her home with her leg bandaged and no instruction to remove the bandage, so her leg swelled badly in the next few hours until we removed the bandage. She was very uncomfortable.Third time, my cat had an abscess behind her ear and they ran a bunch of tests, then charged me $50 for an antibiotic shot. Then after I brought her home they called and said they never gave her the shot. By the next morning she was better and I had to go back there to get my $50. They never get anything right and I don't want to take my cat back, but they won't stop charging me because they say I owe them $115 for services rendered, which would be the lab tests.

So I signed up for their BS "wellness plan" I pay $40 a month for NOTHING!!! My baby girl hurt her paw they wanted to charge me $47 to wrap her paw! Are you serious? I took her to my mother and laws vet and they wrapped it for free. Tried to cancel my account guess what?? THATS ANOTHER $107 CHARGE!!!! I'm so pissed off right now I cant even explain. Needless I will never recommend them EVER!! And as soon as my term is up I am gone. HORRIBLE PLACE!!! I should not have to pay for something I am not using or intend on using. I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO PAY A PENALITY BECAUSE I DONT WANT YOUR SERVIOUSES!!!!!

I second you. I had my dog over, although she had late stage liver cancer (not known by me); the doctor insisted that it would be better to join the wellness plan.

Since she was a senior I joined the most expensive one ($1200 year). My dog died 2 months and 2 visits later. I cannot cancel the membership because according to this rip off place the services they provided were worth $800 plus?! Unbelievable!

$800 of what a chest x-ray of a Beagle? Or the injection they gave her for pain? They didn't even have the consideration of telling me that my dog was dying on my last visit.

She had a stroke on the next morning and was paralyzed, so we had to put her down.

Please, save your money monthly and take your pet to real veterinary. Do not take them to Banfield Pet Hospital.

Banfield honestly does not care abt ur pets !! They only want ur money so take it frm some1 that had to take their pet to another vet to get real help fr my puppy afr Banfield not even remotely tried to find out what THEY did to make my puppy sick !! And they still expected me to pay fr the months I had to get help elsewhere bc they kept lying sayg there was nothing wrong w him!! All I can say is if u love ur pets like family I suggest u take them elsewhere bc Banfield or their plans r not as they seem !!! It's all fr the sake of money and that totally and honestly all they care abt !! Please don't trust these people w ur pets !! Mine is still not totally better but he's better than he was but it's not bc of the help of Banfield bc they didn't care one way or another all they wanted was my money fr that dam plan they locked me in fr a freakg year !! Banfield Pet Hospital - Wellness Plan Review

Banfield in Seattle. Vet will relentlessly argue and berate you to pay for $500 worth of tests for your dog, even when you come back several months later with your dog completely without bloody urine UTI and crystals symptoms. So oppositional because I achieved this myself with healthy whole foods rather than waste more money on her prescription dog food or antibiotics. Do not buy into the wellness plan. The vet here thinks you must do as she says I matter how expensive or irrelevant. She will be as oppositional as possible.

I am surprised the vet refused to look at your dog. Banfield has a system of rewarding incompetency.

A slow surgeon gets to charge more because they like to charge surgical procedures according to the time it takes to do the surgery. If you are lucky enough to find a skilled and quick surgeon who takes half the time to do the same surgery, he/she is actually paid less than the quack doctor. Similarly, if the vet screws up the surgery the first time, then he/she gets paid more to "fix" it.

No reward for the good surgeon who does it correctly first time, every time. Go figure what kind of vets Banfield ends up employing and retaining.
