Banfield Pet Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania - That place is extremely unprofessional!

I had taken my pet to the Banfield Animal hospital in Marlton NJ, ans as i waited for my pet to be examined the things I heard the staff speaking of about customers, even each other was appalling. The Manager was speaking about all the idiots that she had to manage, some of these poor associates were even in the range, if I heard her speaking and I was in a room with the door closed imagine how the staff itself felt. Then when my pet was examined, the woman DR, didn't even get the vaccine all in, it ran down my dogs coat, but she never said a word about it, she didn't realize I saw it. I will NEVER go here again!

About a month ago, I took my dog to Banfield because he was drinking and urinating constantly. The VT stated that it seems like a UTI (Urinary Tract Infection), so they performed a UA. Which cost about $140. The vet came in the room and stated that she saw a little...

Banfield Pet Hospital in Lake Mary, Florida - Illegal business practices

went to Banfield in Lake Mary Fl to get prescription dog food for my pet and was told that I had to buy it their from now on, found out that they were wrong, suppose to make a copy and give me back my prescription to use if I am not able to get back to there store. The people who work there are not nice and I was told if I did not like the way they do business I could go elsewhere. I decided to go elsewhere with my business and did. was able to get what I needed and was told a lot of stories about that location, that were not good.

I am extremely disappointed in the duplicitous policy that Banfield has with their wellness plan. When I signed my kittens up, I was told the plan was for one year. I was never told that it would renew automatically. While they were kittens, it seemed like a good deal....

I took my cat in for annual vaccines. Also asked the vet at Banfield to look at his hind legs as he had not been jumping down from furniture the way he normally did. I thought he may have hurt a leg. My cat was just over a year old, they did his blood work and said he...

FYI- Banfield does NOT give a *** about you or your pet! They only post replies on here to APPEAR like they care, trust me, they dont!

They killed My Pomeranian, Missy, then TOTALLY LIED about everything that happened. They are negligent, inexperienced and unsympathetic. Dont let them fool you and DONT EVER take another pet to ANY Banfield!

Banfields all over the country are WRONGFULLY killing peoples pets everyday!

Read my dogs story at banfieldkilledmissy.com and see sites with tons of other complaints about Bnfield HORROR stories!

I walked in the Banfield pet hospital on Dec 1, 2013 at 0815 with 1 year old neutered cat in tow. The receptionist asked what was wrong with my cat. I explained he was squatting but no urine was coming out and he seemed to be in pain. The receptionist said they were...

Sorry for your loss. Here's the inside story.

I am a Vet currently working for Banfield so I know exactly what goes on as far as how the hospitals are run and why they were probably too busy to see your pet. Management sets all the staff & Dr schedules. Most of the time to keep costs down they only schedule 1 Vet a day. This vet is then expected to see all the scheduled appointments (between 20-25 a day), do all the surgeries (3-4 a day, between appointments), do all the call backs & see any walk-ins.

IT IS INSANE!!! I generally get <10 mins per pet, no break for lunch/to *** & end up staying late (which I don't get paid for) everynight. This is why so many vets leave Banfield within a year or two. Their Vet turnover/burnout is crazy.

If Corpoprate could stop overscheduling the routine appointments & try & have more than 1 Dr on a day then we would be able to see more walk-ins/emergencies, but until they do that we are sadly just stretched too thin which is dangerous for the sick pets we do see because we only get a few mins to evaluate each case.

I even tell my family if they have a sick pet/emergency to go to an emergency hospital where hopefully the Vet there can give it the time/attension it needs. Banfield is no good for emergencies.

I would never do business with any vet unless any and every person that handled my pet in any manner whatsoever was fully licensed. If theyre not its a quack factory fast food style operation.

Remember youre the consumer. Regardless of what anyone thinks you have the power because you have the $ and can take it anywhere. Another red flag is vets that never seem to want the pet owner to be present when theyre checking the animal out.

Steer clear. Any halfway decent should make it a point to have a relationship with both owner and animal.

Banfield Pet Hospital in Alameda, California - They basically let my dog die, and I'm still being charged 50$ a month

My dog became diabetic, the missed her pancreatitis, last May. In November my dogs glucose was still unregulated and I took her in twice complaining something else had to be wrong they basically told me that my 7 year old dog was having pain due to arthritis. I didn't believe it and took her to an emergency vet. 2,000 dollars later the emergency vet informs me she performed a snap test which showed positive for pancreatitis, my dog was never actually diabetic. She was suffering a diabetic keto acidosis without true diabetes. The emergency vet wasn't open during daytime hours and my dog needed monitoring for her glucose levels while her pancreas was treated. I called banfield to arrange monitoring and they informed me they don't perform that service because they don't have the equipment. She died, and they informed me I was required to pay out my contract for the rest of the year @ 50$ a month.

All Banfield hospitals have glucometers to monitor glucose levels. I think when they said they don't have the equipment I think they meant they don't have to skills nor knowledge to treat anything more than a simple ear infection.
