Banfield sold me a 12-month ($24.95/month) wellness program (plan) for my puppy dog. The plan supposedly included all visits to the vet relating to its planned vaccines and neutering. The plan discounts the costs of unplanned care—basically a health plan. I became...

It's all about milking each and every consumer as much has possible regardless of how your pet is sick/ well it doesn't matter they just want to maximize their profitsi had to put my dog down yesterday after he got sick from this so called preventative plan- overloaded on vaccines designed for large dogs multi dosed to death - they mked me really good only got 1200 out of me before Tommy had to be put down- they never found a cause neither did the emergency clinic who simply looked at banfields bloodworm and didn't question it. No mystery to me - look on FACEBOOK "boycott Banfield" you'll see his picture such a beautiful beagle

Youre right. Its all about the $$$$.

For all you obvious banfield employees that keep attacking any any all negative posts about your obvuous flaws i see far too many negative comments for there to not be a problem somewhere. Perhaps a bit of denial banfield.

Another fastfood style vet clinic. If youre vets were all that theyd have their own well established private practice.

We take our dog in for a area on his lower jaw that is raw. We have the wellness plan but that does not cover any of the test that was needed. The people are rude and act like you are wrong when you ask prices. They tell us they will let us know the results of the...

BANFIELD PET HOSPITAL FIRST EXPOSURE April 30, 2013 we brought Sammy in for an ear infection/initial examination by Dr. Jennifer Pallozzi, DVM/CHIEF OF STAFF. We thought she was professional, and she appeared to be quite knowledgeable, at least to this layman. An...

Banfield Pet Hospital diagnosed my pet with a Mast Cell Tumor in February 2013. I was told that it would be nearly $800 to remove the "mass" and I was instructed to give my dog 1/2 a Benadryl x2 daily. I was fooled into purchasing their "Wellness Plan" because this...

1st. If you sign the wellness plan, you're hooked. Even if your pet dies, you're paying either the full price of the services received pre-death or the rest of the contract. Period. Also note the wellness plans only cover the services identified. If you have a plan...

How did you think vets get paid? Its the only way vets can get paid for doing extra work.

19% is actually low in this industry, it's normally 20-22%.

The percentage only starts coming back AFTER they have made enough money to pay for their salary. If your salary is $80,000 you must first earn the company $400,000 before you start getting bonuses.

Banfield Pet Hospital in Centerville, Ohio - Dog with ear infection

I had to take my 5 year old morky to Banfield in centerville oh because it was a Sunday and our regular vet couldn't see her until Tuesday for an ear infection. Banfield gave her the wrong medicine and she is now deaf. $150 to permanently hurt my dog. She also has a tumor on her rear and they quoted me $1700 to remove it. My vet will remove it next month for under $200. I will never go back. They called to remind me of her follow up and when I told the girl what happened she said "oh ok then. I'll cancel the appointment. Have a nice day." One would think an offer to speak to someone would be in order.

I'm writing a story about Banfield and its wellness plan. I'm really sorry to hear about your experience. As a lifelong dog owner, I can sympathize. If you'd like to speak with me for the article, please email me at fisher.theresa@gmail.com or call me at 914 500 3434. Or, anyone who wants to discuss their experience at Banfield who happens to see this comment should absolutely get in touch.

Thanks,

Theresa Fisher

My cat became really ill, throwing up, not eating. I took him to Banfield and before even doing any diagnostics, the vet suggested putting him down. I was in shock. Well, I had them do the blood work, and all was perfect except his white cell count was a bit...

Between vets, attorneys, auto repair, the government(taxes) and dentists, we are all going to go broke! Don't they realize that we only have so much money to go around?

We can only support a limited amount of scammers each. I can't!
