You know for a fact that your "baby" caught the infection from Banfield? No you don't.

The vet put your dog on antibiotics and pain meds that is not overmedicating. I bet that if your pet would have been fine you wouldn't be saying it was overmedicated. You just want someone to blame.

And obviously you went back multiple times, so if you kept having problems, why didn't you get a second opinion? Im sorry for your loss but your comment seems the vet was doing his or hers job.

I won't write too many details about what happened to me because I'm very sad. My little princess started vomiting and not eating well so I took her to this "hospital". They examined her and asked us if she had any pain or if she was depressed and we said no. She was...

I recently took my little 8 lb Chihuahua to Roanoke's Banfield Hospital, she was mistreated as was I She had a heart condition and all they could do was make her more uncomfortable, when I saw what they were doing, holding her up by her back legs on anesthesia, oxygen tube and an IV, shaking her to get fluid from her lungs, I left the room they came out and said her heart stopped and asked me if I wanted to revive her. I said yes, I was told that during heart massage the Dr.

may have broken a rib, I believe the anesthesia stopped her heart and I did not consent to it, I told them I wanted to take her home and they would not let me. They brought her back for a few minutes I went in to talk with my baby and her head had been propped to face me, it was obvious she was overdosed on drugs, then they told me she needed to go back on oxygen. They said it looked grim and I should do the right thing, only because I said I wanted to take her home, they wanted me to take her to an emergency hospital at 6 when they closed, they said she may not make so they got me to agree on putting her down, I can't believe I let them take advantage of me a vulnerable senior, they want money there were students in with the Dr I didn't agree to that either. I felt over powered by them, she was insulting to me because I didn't understand what was going on and she kept saying I already told you that.

I was in the room 3 different times and I am traumatized by what they allowed me to see. I can't get her back, I am going to sue them for killing my dog.

They must be shut down. :cry

Banfield Pet Hospital in Charlotte, North Carolina - Wellness Plan ***

The so called "hospital" likes to act like they are saving you money when they sign you up on the Wellness plan, when really they just over charging. I tried to cancel my plan today and the guy that answered the phone told me I would have to pay over 600 dollars to cancel my plan, which is not at all what people in the “hospital” told me. He told me I would have to buy out of the plan to get out of my so called contract that was only suppose to be a year and is now going over 2 years, becuase again unlike what they told me in the store. You have to cancel you plan. They will say whatever they can to get you to sign up for the Wellness plan. I would suggest not going to Banfield “hospital” for anything!

Banfield Pet Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky - They are a ***

We have been on the wellness plan for several years and have never been happy with the service and the monthly fees we pay. 1) We tried to cancel the plan last year, but because the yearly plan had already started, we would of owed over $700. Even though we would not if used the services. 2) The office staff are poorly trained and are not helpful. We rarley actually see the vet and do not have anything explained to us. 3) We went to get our dog's teeth cleaned and blood work, as part of our wellness plan. The service is included so should cost us $0. The bloodwork showed higher levels of a enyzme so the vet didn't want to continue with the teeth cleaning, which was completely fine. However, as we didn't have the teeth cleaning, as recommended by the vet, we had to pay for the blood work for a cost of $130. They said the bloodwork is only part of the plan if the teeth cleaning is done at the same time. That makes no sense!

I will tell you about how the wellness program worked for me at Banfield. You get free sick office visits but you end up paying $200.00 office visit anyways.

Some how you healthy animal gets suddenly very sick within six months on the wellness program and they never recover. Banfield has may be one(1) good vet per location -the rest of the veternarians are inexperienced or 'rotating vets' from outside of banfield. That way one vet never gets blames for your sick or nonrecovering pet. Both my cats were healthy before the Wellness program, now one has chronic sinitius and the other has cluster seizures.

Both are no longer on the 'Sickness plan"--there is NO quality control. there is no 'out come' controls at Banfield, most pets get sick and stay sick over 6 months on the plan -- all banfield does is look at the profit not the outcome of healthy pets getting sick at Banfiled

I at first thought it was going to be a good thing as another customer said I should get it. I wish I would have seen this website because I take my cats in for a dental cleaning and two days later one of them dies because of a torn trachea.

The exact same thing happened to me. I could have written your comment word for word. It is a scam to buy the dental coverage plan.

Banfield Pet Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts - Place is full of rude people

As a former pt at banfield i have now begun to take my animals to a much better vet. My cat could of died but their manager Erin couldnt care less and i dealt with one receptionist named betsy i believe it was. They were both rude and it was even suggested that i surrender my cat if i couldnt pay everything. I found a wonderful local vet who happens to have the braintrees former receptionist working there and they helped my poor kitty and set me up on a payment plan i could afford. If you cant afford to go to anywhere but banfield in braintree then find yourself a better location. I have no complaints about the vet technicians they were so kind and their female vet was so wonderful to me but the front desk receptionist and the manager Erin should not be working in that type of business. Pets make our lives better and they should understand that not everyone will be willing to surrender an animal because it has an infection. Dont bring your pet there. They suck. As long as those two people are working there both banfield and petsmart has lost my business

These people ALWAYS find ear infection, because it is expensive to treat. There is no ear infection, have taken dog to another vet and verified that the ear is fine.

Banfield is only out for money.

I sell Maltese puppies, and every one that goes to Banfield has a SEVERE ear infection that they tell the owner is VERY contagious..so owner calls me. I have NO ear infections in remaining pups or mom.

So they lie.

One of the people they told this to, went immediately to her old vet even tho she had to drive farther....he checked ear, and said it was absolutely fine....this w/in 2 hrs of Banfields diagnosis. My health contract is now void if any of our buyers go to BAnfield.
