Banfield Pet Hospital Reviews
I had my dog at Banfield for several years and never had a problem. I had to give her away last year for personal reasons and had to cancel her plan and had NO PROBLEM doing so.
I just called them up and cancelled her; period..no questions asked.
They were always nice and cordial every time I went in. That was in a TN store..maybe it's different in other states.

1. petowner, consider yourself still lucky, you didn't get a fake positive like they gave my dog.

uhh yea, i hate it when ppl respond with such backward answers, duh she knows blood test is important, however, banfield takes advantage of pet owners and that is NOT OK! quit sticking up for greedy people
@ ignorant poster- No disrespect to the original poster, but things cost money. period!
Someone has to pay, however unexpected things might be.
Are you willing to loan every stranger in need several hundred dollars? If so, I could use some help with my car payment!!
Uhm geez, you are pretty clueless...
Banfield took and killed my pet
Let me guess. They gave you a treatment plan that included doing xrays and bloodwork, but you declined that.
There is no way to know what exactly is wrong with a pet without doing diagnostic testing.
Pet Killery Factory ! First Shield & a so called Vet @ Banfield in Petsmart Murdered our dog
Stay away from Banfield if you care about your pet
It was all about the money.
Epilepsy is a seizure disorder that is not rare. Any small animal veterinarian has the knowledge to treat a dog with epilepsy.
This is a disease that we manage (unlikely to get a cure). Most of these pets do very well with (or sometimes without) seizure control drugs. A veterinarian may have a discussion with you about a consult with a neurologist or a specialist, but I find it unusual that they told you "we don't take epileptics here". This is typically a scenario that you WILL need a general practitioner, even if a specialist is involved in the pets care...
In general, Epilepsy will NOT prevent a pet from being signed up on one of their wellness plans... Hmmm...

We are sorry to hear of Bailey’s passing and know how hard it is to lose a family member. Sometimes when pets are brought in for emergency care, it is difficult to know exactly what procedures and medications the pet may need.
Ongoing therapy depends on how the pet responds to initial emergency care.
Unfortunately, due to the nature of emergencies, tests, treatments and associated costs which might be optional in non-emergency situations are rarely so in life-threatening situations. We believe that you have already resolved your concerns about your wellness plan payments but if you have additional questions, please call our Wellness Plan team at (866) 894-7927.
