Online it states they do free spay and neuter. 100% a lie!

Glad for the previous comment!! They were offering a free consultation if I signed up for the wellness plan. No free spay and neuter though!!! That statement was just used to get me to come to their clinic and to call them and sign up for their email newsletter and "free" offers.

And they were rude on the phone. Being of low disability income they could he really screwed me!!!!

Reason of review: Not as described/ advertised.

Location: Gulf Breeze, Florida

Banfield SUCKS! They are the worst ever.

Something will ALWAYS be wrong with your animal and additional tests will be needed. Mark my words.

What kind of vet makes you sign a contract??? Ridiculous.

They don't MAKE you do anything.

If you CHOOSE to sign up for the wellness plan then you sign the plan agreement/contact.

If you have actual pet insurance, you sign a contract.

It's funny because 5+ private vets in my area have stolen the wellness plans from banfield and made their own.

Nowhere on the website does it say they do free spay and neuter.

It advertises first exam free if you've never been there before. You can print the coupon and go in for an exam.

You don't have to sign up on the plan.

IF you are on a wellness plan, then you get unlimited office visits. You never pay an exam fee.

IF you are on the puppy/kitten wellness plan (they have to be signed up before 6mo old to get the puppy or kitten plan, otherwise it's an adult plan that doesn't cover the surgery) then yes, on the day of the spay/neuter all you pay for is a cone and pain meds (and a chip if you want one). The spay/neuter is completely covered (includes full bloodwork that morning, anesthesia, every type of monitoring, pain injection after, IV catheter and IV fluids).

Or if you have an adult wellness plan you can add the spay/neuter to the monthly payments so you don't pay the cost of it in full the day of.

No, I do not work there. I used to though, for 6yrs.
