On 2/19/2017 around 9am we took “Precious” our beautiful loving Yorkie to Banfield Pet Hospital because she was suffering from heavy panting, difficult breathing and looking very distress. We were informed by the staff that we would need to leave her there and they would call us once they had the diagnosis.

Around 2:00pm Dr. Rojas called us and said that she did some tests on her and that her internal organs were in good shape and the only concern was spots on her lungs which she would get the x-rays sent up to radiology and they would let her know by Monday morning the results but other than that she was fine and for us to pick her up at 4:30pm. Our distress little Yorkie was there for seven and half hours and was not given water or any medication to alleviate her pain from the stress and panting. She actually was in worst condition when we arrived and nothing was done to comfort her and was merely left in the cage for 7 ½ hrs.

We then noticed our little Yorkie was still panting heavily and under stress and so Dr. Rojas noticed our concerns and ordered some additional medication to help her relax and help her breathing and for us to administer it when we got home. Why did they not do this while she was in their care? When we got home “Precious” could not even stand up and was extremely thirsty.

We gave her water with a syringe and gave her antibiotics. How inhumane to have a dog in your medical care for seven and half hours and not give her water, food or mediation to help ease her pain and discomfort. She died on my lap 30 mins after getting her home from a place that called themselves a hospital for the care of animals. The thing I will have to live with is the place where I took “Precious” a so called hospital that never had her wellbeing in mind; they were more concern about doing this entire test so that they can charge more.

This place is a typical business where profit is the bottom line and not the wellbeing of the animals that go there.

I would never ever in any circumstance recommend this place to anyone. I lost a wonderful little Yorkie and part of our family, this should have never happened if this place was concerned for the care of animals.

They are not going to sue because they have absolutely no case.
