On April 5th 2023 we took our 1.5 year old frenchie for a routine x-ray of his hind leg. I had noticed a little limp and wanted to be safe and have it checked.
From start to end there were red flags, however I was paying for an insurance and a service. I had already found a private vet and office that we were switching too. Early morning I drop off my puppy 7:30 am, and the vet wanted to know if "I had brought a muzzle" for my dog. I am under the assumption that a place that services many dog breeds and sizes would have the equipment and the knowledge to address these concerns.
The vet brings what is an enormous basket muzzle, now if you know a french bulldog has a flat face and special breathing needs so a basket muzzle will not suffice, once this was addressed the take my lil guy and I never see him alive again. I get a call back around 8 am that he had coded and they wanted to know if I'd like them to resuscitate?? what kind of question is this.. I rush back to wait and find out at 9:30 that they were unable to save him.
After the necropsy was performed I find out the dog was in perfectly good health and had died of an overdose of medication administered by the vet that had only been practicing for a year. No experience no empathy no care was taken. I walked out of the Norwalk CT Banfield without my beloved companion who was also my service dog, I have been in the hospital, not been able to eat, sleep, or function since this tragic incident.
I hope people read this and stop going to Banfield. They hire vets that have no experience and who clearly don't know how to administer proper care for our furry babies.

Preferred solution: A new companion would be the only thing that would alleviate the problem, I am devastated by the loss and still paying the price for someone else's negligence.,

I have been taking my Yorkie here for years and this is the first time that I have ever picked up her to be told that she had pooped in the cage and had it all over her paws and she smelled of blood! She was filthy when I picked her up!
She had just had a bath 3 days prior. I keep her hair short as inherited her 10 years ago from an abusive owner. I gave her a bath and sat her under her dryer as usual. She was whiny but thats not uncommon after dental cleaning.
But she has never WHINED AND CRIED all night. The next day, she still smells like blood, so I bathed her again and while drying her, I flip her on her back and I see BRUISES around her anterior neck!!!
Im furious! Banfield West Nashville in TN, I will see you Monday morning!

Try to get a sonogram of my dog because he cant get dental cleaning until he gets a second sonogram done in Lakeland New York. They said they cant do it then I qualified to do this service and told me to go to outside agency and they thousands of dollars after I already have services with John, I authorize my aunt deborah cuevas, Moncayo and Joseph Rogers my uncle permission to talk to U-Haul and to be added on my paperwork.

My cat has been vomiting and losing weight for awhile now. I called to get her seen and despite still having a account with Bainfeild I was quoted around $700 just for a diagnosis.
Meaning the $300 I paid to have an account is meaningless! My cat was sick when I initially brought her in and is still sick now. The options I was given where, sign up for some credit that seems to be as meaningless as my membership or give up my animal to the humane society! No blood work was ever done to my cat they just simply copied the information from the paperwork I brought in and no help was given.
I even had my cats nails trimmed, which cost $30 for each of my cats.
When I got them home there was blood in their pet taxis and they bleed for a long time after and now its almost impossible to cut their nails. I want a refund for the $300 I was coned into or my next move will be filing a case in the court house.

The front desk person was completely helpless. The back staff either could not or wouldn't help her.
Then she offered a phone number to call but didn't know what option to choose. We could not pay nor check in or out. A complete disaster!!. There was no backup plan nor a way to accommodate those of us who come on a regular basis.
They could not think outside of the box for this which would have allowed for some type of communication with the doctors as to who was waiting, some type of charting system to allow for transcripts that could later be transferred into the system. An alternative payment system that works when you choose option 5! That day was beyond a learning tool it was a complete disaster and thru should have just closed for the day because a customer never wants to hear I'm just as frustrated as you are.
No your not! It could have been better but the training was just not evident!

I took my puppy here for his first shots and to be dewormed and spent $150 on the visit . They check me in and took my puppy Charlie in the back for his shots and so he could be dewormed.
The woman brought him to me with his paw bleeding all over the place that's how they treat a customer puppy there so unprofessional and negligence on their part.
I was so upset that they hurt my puppy and he has never been the same since because they took it upon themselves to cut his nails without asking me was that ok with me .. Charlie means the world to me and I can't believe they would hurt a innocent puppy that way and I don't feel safe ever bringing my puppy back to this place again now in order to cancel they want me to give them another $300 for them hurting my puppy . It's wrong of them to charge me because they hurt my puppy and I refuse to do anymore business with this place so they can hurt my puppy again NEVER IN A MILLION YEARS WOULD I PUT MY PUPPY IN DANGER AGAIN WITH THIS PLACE .
GO TO *** BANFIELD MONEY HUNGRY MONSTERS !!! So upsetting Scammers
