Continuing Charge and Lack of End of Life Services

I paid for the wellness plan at Banfield for at least two years with additional fees when a procedure or, especially, medication was expensive. When my dog was 15 years old I was informed that I would have to enlist a contract organization for her to be put to sleep when she was unable to eat because of a growth in her mouth. I went to another vet to have her put down. (One of the saddest days of my life.) Her life ended 7/7/2021 and I am still being charged over $50/mo for reasons I am not aware of. Today is November 5, 2021.

Client,#KCLO38F...... I have been on your wellness program since 2002. I started your plan when I lived near Grand Junction. I really liked the personal at this office. Moved to ranch near Denver, Colorado and went to your office in Wadsworth, Colorado since 2006. For some reason I have never enjoyed the personal at this office and never rec'd the indivual attention needed with my dogs. In February 1, 2021 I left my dog off at 8:00 AM and waited until 4:30 PM and they were too busy and told me they did not have time for the wellness check and left without even doing anything for my lab, Tucker. Nothing!! I came back on October 1 2021 and had a appointment for 11 AM and they told me to come in and pickup my dog at 12: 15 PM. I had asked them to xray the front elbow area since Tucker was limping and I was worried some thing was wrong. AT that time they informed me it would now take an additional 3 to 4 hours to do this. Was I up set!!, yes since I live about one hour away and would bne required to wait in town additional 3 to 4 hours. This office is always too busy and I will cancel your plan and go to a Vet in Conifer from now on. Please cancel the wellness plan and do not deduct the cost from my bank any more....David Prickett, 13574 So. Baird Road, Conifer Co. 80433, 303-838-****.

Phone skills are important. Simple courtesy is important. They both hung up on me. On two separate occasions. Say good-byethank-you.have a good day.something! Not CLICK. Rude! So I called back and they hung up me again!!!!!! Its pretty easy to use phone skills especially when thats their job. Thats all. Small stuff.but it really ticked me off. Thanks for your attention. Hopefully it can change. PLUS! De-wormer syringes left in a bag for me to administer? Thats your job. Please. Thats Bellas Mom

User's recommendation: Do the math. Is it worth it? This is a corporate money grab. Obvious. I feel sorry for the techs and docs that want to help our pets but they can’t. It’s so expensive we can’t afford it after paying the monthly payments.

Need to pay off my account. No one would answer the phone. I called at business hours. This is very professional ,why would you say that you're open at 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and I called at 9:00 a.m. and no one's there to answer the phone.

Took the wrong amount out and the wrong card!

I called and wanted some of my payments moved to a different day. The lady I spoke to told me she had a different card on file for my accounts! I made a payment on the automated system however never changed my card to that card permanently. She told me that she would move some payments and that I would have to call back with the card I wanted to use! Now they have taken double payments out fir some of my pets! I was told that one of my cats was moved to a different day so that would not happen! I want my money put back into the card that I said was fir a one time payment ASAP! Your office needs to be open on at least Saturday. Cynthia

Pissed off for store wasting my time

Had a appt at 1030 am .I distinctly told thr young lady that my dog can not be caged .she pretty much told me that we could probably get him in if the doctor was not in surgery. So I show up on time and willing to wait a bit in lobby with my animal. Well they pretty much told me that I drove all the way there for nothing. They turned us away when my dog was very sick !! Not understanding that his file states that he has separation anxieties. So now we are going back 45mins worth of a drive to get home with still a very sick animal without any help . Only help they offered was put my dog in a cage for roughly 5 to 8 hrs waiting for his turn . That to me is a puppy mill !!! I will never allow my animal in a cage !! Never did never will .so much for a emergency visit !!!! Came home waited awhile and called the business manager. Explained again about my animal and she was laughing at me. I mean great business attitude. Then she kept countered ducted herself several times. So I told her " so what time will the vet see him tmrw ?" We then drove another 45 mins back to this store ! Finally my dog got checked out and found a bacterial infection. We then got antibiotics and wipes . This store gets that busy then you all should have two vets in there . One for surgery and one for the in and out !!, this store could use some respect. Specially to the customer. Someone that has better business sence and show compassion. Fix this place !!!

Please do not take your pet to banfield. Never.

I took my perfectly fine little boy to Kilder location, droped him in the morning and pick him up in the afternoon in a box dead. He never supposed to be in the cage, it is on his file,but I am sure that is what they did. I got suspicious voice messages, without me being able to pick up the call. Saying my dog was fine.

But after 15 min he was dead. We are devastated, he was our first dog, we don't have kids. They killed our little boy.

We are heartbroken. Please run run run from Banfield.

Sick Visit Availability

I take my dog to union, nj ban field and called for a sick visit today and there is no availability. I called 4 other locations and still not 1 vet could see our dog today. Girl on phone at union said there was 1 vet available.

I can't call my primary care doctor and demand to be seen immediately. It's the same with vet clinics. If it's an emergency that needs to be seen same day, that's what the ER is for.

Cat had a cut on the ear doctor checked it sent him home said if it fill back up they have to try to tape it taped. Was to tight cut off blood from ear had to cut apart of my cat ear do to the DR towel. Wrapping it to tight got infected and bleeding took wrap off gave meds hacked off cats ear ungodly job never wrapped it covered nothing

Death of our dog Vida due to malpractice

My daughters and I are traumatized with the death of my baby Vida. She died on April 19. Vida was a healthy dog always. I took such a good care of her, she was my daughter. Banfield twice killed my dog along with CARE ( the ambulance place that denied to help transport Vida to Emergency Hospital. Vida on April 13 woke up very happy as always, and did go for a walk with my daughter. She came back drank her water and immediately started vomiting grass. And,afterwards, she continues to vomit grass and did not stop. We decided to take her to Banfield Hospital in Largo, Florida,and when i got there, i told the veterinarian that my dog had eaten something poison on the grass or the grass itself was poisoned. She took Vida inside by herself and took hours to call me back. when the vet called me she said that Vida has no signs of anything major happening to her,she looked fine and she disregard about what i said about the poisoning, she was sure Vida had stomach flu,and she prescribed medications for that. Vida started not eating too much,not drinking to much either. Vida started not looking. My daughter was telling me she was not walking too much either. Two days before her death, she was vomiting the pills as well. and stoped completely drinling water,eating, walking. On sunday morning, we had to take her to Banfield Clearwater, florida, when we got there the veterinarian told us that he could not give her an oxygen because he did not have the one for he, and at this time she was in need of that so badly, she was difficult breathing. And, told us to find another place to take our dog since in that Banfield they would not. we were crying, scared to loose our baby.we had to make calls and time was passing and Vida did not have any treatment. When we finally got a place called CARE in Clearwater and they have an ambulance to transport VIDA they disservice us. So banfield Clearwater, again came to us and told us to put our dog back in our car and drive to to an emergency hospital which was about 20 minutes away with my dog totally i need of car and of course in my car without the car and far away she would die. when we got to the emergency hospital, 10 minutes later the vet came outside and gave us the horrible news that my dog had died. i hate Banfield! I agreed it should close for stopping killing our dogs! for Banfield dogs are just about money, and they don't know that our dogs are member of our family and they deserve that right treatment like any human being. I will never forget that horrible situation, my daughters are disabled and are having PTDS constantly because what they experienced in the last moments with our VIDA. We have already talked to everyone we needed to about this issue. This is my freedom of speech and I wanted people to read Vida's story because I know others have experienced similar ones.
