on3/12/12 I took my barn cat (14 yrs old to Banfield in Holmdel, N.J. )because of ear mites.

they gave me a bottle of prednisolone indicationg 16 c.c. to be given twice a day for 4 days once a day for 4 days and every other day thereafter. After 3 days of midicating the cat i realized that there wasn't enough to last for another day let alone for 4 single doses and doses thereafter. On 3/15 I drove over (15 mins.

each way) and got there a little before 7 and was told they were closed. I know they were there b ecause when I called at 4 they said they were backed up for 2 hours because they had a surgery that took up a lot of their time. No one would speak to me. Finally, after saying I would sit there and wait for someone to come out to go home a lady came out and said I had enough and proceeded to dump the medicine into a dish and draw up several cc's in a syringe.

She said well there were 10 and what she had coupled with what I used there was sufficient to finish the dose. i said the vet order 16 it is on the bottle not 10. She was indignent and gave me the bottle back and walked out. I am not use to dealing with such a large organization but my vet was closed and it was hard to catch the cat so I had no other alternative but to go to Banfield.

Banfield has no direct e-mail to reach them and they give you a corporate telephone number which I am sure they use so that they can say you never called because there is no record while an e-mail message is proof. Now the cat has to do without the steroid because these inept people can't add up the proper dosage and the vets don't want to come out and face you.

If on a scale of one to ten I would give then minus zero. don't use Banfield again.

bANFIELD DID REPLY BUT UNFORTUNATELY i STILL HAD TO GO ON MARCH 19 AND GET THE 6 DOSES THEY FAILED TO GIVE ME IN THE FIRST PLACE AND HAD TO PAY FOR IT. I THINK I SHOULD BE COMPENSATED FOR THE COST OF THE 6 DOSES.
