I have been a customer for 2 years and always have been over satisfied with the care and service provided, all up until today when we saw Dr Ziegler at the Rockaway NJ office, my dog has been unsuccessfully treated for his skin conditions for over 2 years,no doctor has been able find the root cause of this skin issues, finally one of the doctors at that office started him on thyroid treatment and my dog began showing some improvement, he has been on it for 3 months and is the only medication that had proven effective to somewhat improve his skin problems, after I explained all these to this new young vet in the office she came back with this long list of treatment that ranged from allergy treatment to shampoos -which I already have- I tried to explain to her that my dog already had been unsuccessfully treated for allergies, parasites, mange IN THIS SAME OFFICE without success and they only treatment that seem to help my dog had been thyroid medication, not only she kept cutting me off and not letting me talk not listening, she was very disrespectful, very loud and confrontational, I asked if she could at least not stop my dog's medication because you can't stop a dog on thyroid treatment and he had been showing improvement for the first time, she denied any medication, now my dog is back scratching and leaking his paws.

Regardless of her medical recommendations, a doctor should always listen to what a patient's owner needs to say, and if previous treatments has proven ineffective why go back and extend a pet's suffering and not put him back on the treatment that is working, I find no reason for some so called professional to treat a customer so disrespectfully as she did. It's very disappointing that a vet at Banfield treats customer with such lack of respect and consideration (everyone else vet and staff are super friendly and go above and beyond) I'm going to another vet this week and will never go back to Banfield, I will make sure other friends and family do the same, I will also share my story on blogs and online company reviews
