Mistakenly, I took one of my little girls (Pug) to Banfield in Lake Mary Florida for a UTI. After my 3rd paid visit and her UTI getting worse, all Banfield would focus on is me committing to an expensive wellness plan.

On my third visit, I told the desk person that would not pay one more dime for another exam. I told her that I just wanted the right antibiotic. She said that there would not be a charge it was only a recheck.

Well now a collection agency wants a visit fee. Boycott for your pet and my pets' sakes.

Gabby our feline furbaby died in Feb 2012, Banfield was the ones who killed her, they wanted me to sign a release of liability banfield is also Medical Management International, Inc. The advocate team is well rehearsed but lacks real compassion.

they stopped billing us for the wellness aka death plan for 6 months, just this past month started the billing again.

Talk about reopening the wound.I am thankful that I didnt sign any settlement agreement as now I plan on taking furthur action legally The 'pet' as they called Gabby might have gone to the other side of the rainbow bridge but her voice will still be heard. Banfield pet hospital visit for 1 dog for routine checkup and shots: 600+ bucks

Discount after signing up for "wellness plan": 250 bucks off of original 600 dollar bill

6 months of recurring charge of 25 bucks (with no additional services provided) before canceling: 125 bucks

A year or so later, after uncountable collection calls, a hit on my credit report and a final collection bill of 145 bucks= total bill for routine visit: 620 bucks...

I should have just paid the inflated bill, and avoided the headache

Better still, I should have avoided going to banfield pet hospital altogether.

Lesson learned.
