Our 2 dogs went into Banfield Hosp. #1638 (Woodhaven, MI) for their biannual check up and shots.
We always see a vet before the visit to discuss what would be done and if there are any new concerns. A vet did not come in and the tech said she could handle it. Our dog, Rudy, had a very bad ear infections in Aug. that was treated and a follow up visit was kept.
We wanted his ears checked at this visit, as Rudy cannot hear now. The vet always calls at least once or twice during the day to say something about either dogs findings. No call (not even to come pick them up), they had our dogs for 10 hours. Upon picking them up at 6:30 PM, we still could not see the vet that was on duty (Kayla Pashaian).
We were given the usual paperwork, with many errors in it. When we asked the tech about Rudy's ears, she said we did not ask for ears to be checked...we most certainly did. She proceeded to say the Vet said she checked Rudy's hearing (ears?!?!) and that he heard and performed oral commands she gave him. We can prove to you that he cannot.
They printed that he had increased body weight....he had lost 12 pounds since early August. These facts are all in their print out to the client. They also said he needed his teeth cleaned. They almost lost Rudy the last time they cleaned his teeth, due to A-Fib.
He sees Dr. Brown in Novi, Mi. for cardiology care. Rudy's A-Fib diagnosis has always been a part of his records, but not this time.
We don't believe our dogs saw a Veterinarian at all, yesterday. The receptionist that day continued to cover the situation.
