Our dear dog was on this plan for over 3 years, when he began acting out of character at 7 years (lab retriever) we took him in, Banfield said he was ok, but he wasn't, we brought him back in and ended up having to put him down. Banfield has since informed us that we...

It very clearly states in the contract terms if the animal is lost in any way (runs away, dies, given away) you are required to either pay the remaining payments for the year, or the non discounted value of services used on the plan so far that year, whichever option is cheaper. I’m very sorry your baby has passed, that is terrible, but the contract is solid

It states in the contract when you sign up that it auto renews. You can easily set it to not renew by calling the wellness plan team, or paying for the full year in advance.

I do the second, so when the plan runs out, I physically have to go in and renew it. Just read your contracts before you sign them.

If you brushed your teeth once a year, you would probably get some infection and bone loss between bushings too. Treating your dogs teeth annually does not mean they will be perfect for life. This can be helped with daily brushing at home (doesnt even have to be with toothpaste) and dental treats (VOHC approved treats).

Same thing here. My husbands cat was very sick.

It would be 1500 for an operation that was 50 50 chance he wouldn't make it. So he got so bad we he to put him down since there was nothing they could do besides the million tests they ran. Then they charged us for the remaining payments which we paid.

Now they don't show that payment in that system 2 years later and were in collections. They are seriously the worst ever!!!!

I wish more people were like you.

Fact is, yes, there arebad vets out there and not just at Banfield. But a majority of vets out there, including Banfield, truly care about the pets and the owners.

Vets and techs aren't rich.

Not by a long shot. The whole vet staff does so much more than what people see.

Banfield employees do NOT get a bonus when pets are signed up on a plan.

Also, it states in the contract you signed that the plan is not transferable to another pet, and that if the plan is cancelled for whatever reason before the 1yr contract is up, then you pay either the remainder of the months you owe or the services you've already used whichever is CHEAPER.

The wellness plan is NOT insurance. They aren't charging for things that haven't been done.
