Worst experience ever.

Banfield is the worst. You think you're receiving the best service until your dog is dead.

I called customer service and told them to terminate my insurance seven months ago because my dog died. They kept taking my money and I kept paying for pet bill insurance for my dog that had been dead for seven months. Yes, I understand it's a payment plan, however, for a person that's still mourning the death of their dog, Banfield should have the decency to inform us that we will get charged again if we don't call for a second termination to cancel our dead dog's insurance. Why do I need to call a second time to terminate my deceased pet's insurance, when I called the first time to terminate the insurance?

My dog has been dead for more than seven months, he's not coming back to life, so why do I need to call for a second termination? Were you hoping for my dog to come back to life? The representative on the phone still charged me and didn't even bother to reimburse me.

They show no remorse; they just want to take your money. I will never use Banfield nor will I ever let any of my family members use Banfield again.

Traumatic experience for me and my pet.

I too my little one in for check up and dental and was charged 330+ which I thought was covered in the wellness plan but wasnt. Before hand, I had other pets taken there for a dental and it was covered, but that was a few years ago, but I guess they are now in the money making business and not pet care.

Some of these so called vets need their licenses revoked for not caring about the wetness of a pet rather than making quotas. Back to my story, when I got her back, she was in pain and noticed hair patch missing. I should of looked deeper but they get into little spats at home with her the other sisters so I thought it was that. I called them the next day and was just told it was probably a reaction to the meds plus I guess scripted response to phone call questions.

To this day, I have tried canceling the plan and just told that I have to continue to pay until the end of that cycle to renew and then I could do so. I still feel so bad putting my little one through that that I still wake up crying at night just thinking of it and this was over 7 months ago. I now feel so afraid of taking them to any vets cause of that experience and I dont think I will ever trust a vet fully. I cant even leave my little one alone with vets cause I am so paranoid.

I know there are great vets out there but my fear and trauma is so deep, I cant imagine how my pet must feel. I see her anxiety and fear of other people so I kinda feel her trauma. I will never forgive myself for taking her there.

Plus the Pets mart was very dirty with the air conditioning vents dirts having dust collected on the vent air intakes. For having a pet surgeries there, very unsanitary and unsafe.

Negligence in the care of my dog

My dog died in June and I spoke to your manager. I was told that I would receive a call from the vet.

However, I am still waiting which leads me to believe that you have little concern over the pets you treat. In addition, I would like to be reimbursed for the money I spent which resulted in my dog's death. This incident occurred at the Pelham Bay PetSmart. I found your manager to be extremely callous.

I would appreciate it if someone could contact me as soon as possible to resolve this matter.

If not, I will be forced to escalate this situation. Thank you.

Question about refills

Question about getting a refill food at checkout at petsmart register. I had a prescription for food and it would have expired in 3 days but the girl checking me out said that she was told by her boss to write cancel on all prescriptions that were about to be out dated before returning the prescription the prescription to me.

I was told to sign up for the wellness program. I'm disabled. They only clipped 3 of my dogs nails. An I think I was milked for medicine my dog didn't need. My poor baby has never been this sick!

I can't see very well. I trusted them with my 12-year-old baby.

They only trimmed her front three nails, saying they were all trimmed. Now my dog is sick. They keep milking me for money. They don't let you into the exam room.

They don't explain anything! One vet was so rough and cold-hearted.

My dog has never been this sick. What a scam!!!

I had a puppy plan with Banfield. I moved and canceled my plan.

A couple of years later, my dog had an issue with his ear, so I took him to the Banfield next to my new home. They said I had a past due balance of around 70 dollars and I had to pay that before receiving service. I thought I must have had a balance still due and paid it. I went to Banfield yesterday and they said I was in collections and gave me the number.

They said I now owed over 600 dollars for a subscription I canceled and never used! I explained the situation and that I never re-signed up or used the services. They basically said, 'too bad.' Banfield is a scam. They will add/reactivate service plans without your knowledge or consent!

Beware, do not ever sign up for their plans.

It's completely unethical. After some research, it looks like there are several lawsuits due to their unethical actions with these plans.

They do. Also do not believe them if you cancel in store and they tell you everything is good.

Apparently you can only cancel by phone. And if you do they will back charge you with over inflated pricing or charge you the full year of membership.

If you cancel by phone make sure to get an Itemized bill and then go to a store and get the cost for the same service without the plan. It’s the only way you can fight it.

Worst Customer Service and Contract Scam

It started when we first got our plan. After the first visit upon purchasing the plan for our pet, all - what I consider standard pet shots - and the recommended Banfield Pet requirements for our pet were all additional.

Every visit minimum was 150-300 out of pocket for recommended shots or medicine recommended by the Banfield Vet. Nothing was ever covered by the plan! Just recently, in May, I called in to cancel my contract to prevent any further monthly charges and any automatic renewals, as our pet is no longer with us. The customer service representative handled all my concerns.

The following month, automatic charges continued. I called back in and the customer service representative placed me on hold for more than 45 minutes and would not pick up the line. I was asking all the appropriate questions that are in their system to tell me sorry that the previous representative didn't explain that you will still be charged the remainder of your contract for outstanding services provided! I asked what services were outstanding as I always paid for services out of pocket because the plan didn't cover services provided other than the visit.

Show me the breakdown of what I used on the plan to explain better what will be outstanding, as my pet hasn't been to the vet since four months prior. He stuttered and placed me on hold, basically not wanting to deal with my concerns! At the time of contract, Banfield never explained early termination policies. Employees explained I could cancel at any time unless there were outstanding services performed, which in my case there were none.

This plan doesn't cover anything they suggest for requirements for my pet. I will never, ever, ever recommend this plan or contract or Banfield's services. It's all a scam. They misrepresent what they cover and what they don't.

You wouldn't know ahead of time unless you were a vet yourself asking all the questions regarding coverage! Complete scam.

Unacceptable sevice from my optium service

Find a new, more reliable lab service. This is my second time dealing with incompetent lab services, which has cost me over $700.00 in the past two months.

Instead of only dealing with a respiratory infection for my kitten, after 22 days of waiting and a second swab, we are also dealing with a bacteria infection. My dog recently had a mass surgically removed and it was sent to the same lab for cytology results. After 11 days, the results are still pending, although I was told it would take only 5 to 7 days.

I went up to the vet in person, and all of a sudden, the labs were ready at 9:02 am this morning. You have a serious problem with the lab you use, and the inability of your staff to follow through on patient care.

If I could use 0 stars I would. This is a horrible place to take your pet.

I initially took her in at the beginning of the year for a hot spot. The medication they gave her initiated an eye infection too, which cleared up on its own. Soon after she developed a horrible ear infection. The vet had her on the same medication for a few months with absolute no results.

3 times I recieved the same medicine. The vet finally said it could be her diet and recommended a very expensive dog food. (I home cook my dogs food with chicken, rice and vegetables. It's fresh and healthy for her.

There is nothing wrong with her diet.). I finally went to another vet, they gave her medicine in the ear and it cleared the infection up within a week. I haven't had any issues with her ears since.

Banfield pushes the wellness program insurance to help "save you money" . As part of that program, they include flea and tick treatment which is Semparica Trio.

They kept telling me how great it is and how their pets love it. Just a simple treat once a month. That medication is causing my dog to have seizures now. She had another one last night.

When I called Banfield this morning to get copies of her records, I mentioned about last night's seizure and they never asked how she was, do I need to schedule an appointment or anything!!! They don't care about your pet!!!

I would not recommend them to anyone that loves their pet.

Banfield’s Negligence Resulted in my Pet’s Death

I signed up for the Banfield Plan and took my beautiful 8 year old Rottweiler for a wellness checkup on 2/17//24.

After he saw the veterinarian , Dr. Weiss, she took me into a side room to diss his results. She stated his blood work was normal, he was about 40lbs overweight and that she had discovered a mas on his left hind leg to which she stuck a needle into and it bleed for awhile and then subsided. Her diagnosis was that it was a non cancerous tumor she recommended be scheduled for surgery and removed. He also received a bordella and lime disease vaccination and was scheduled for the boosters.

Upon exiting, she stated she forgot to mention he did test positive for ehrlichilosis, which is the result of a tic bite and was very common in Arkansas, it he did not exhibit any symptoms.

Upon bringing him home, his demeanor immediately changed. He was urinating and defaulting in the house, began having tremors, and things drastically got worse as the day went on. He was drenched in saliva, dehydrated. breathing rapidly and then began whaling in excruciating pain. It was an experience I prey no one ever has to witness.

I called the vet and explained his symptoms and asked if he could be having side effects from the vaccines or by the needle *** from the doctor. The assured me thii out Dr symptoms were unrelated to his treatment.

I asked, then why would he be perfectly fine when he arrived and then rapidly deteriorate after his visit. The asked if he could have gotten into any househol products or poison, and I said not a chance and would not rather gave shown up in his blood work.

They had. I recommendations. The following day I took him to a local vet and explained his symptoms. The retrieved his records from Banfield and the vet said he had a couple of blood results that were a little high but he saw no obvious problem. He said he was going to prescribe meds for echricilosus and if hie was not improving in a day or two to take him to the Emergency. Clinic.

I brought him home and his symptoms remained critical. He was in horrible pain, so at 3A.M I festively calked what was advertised as 24 hour emergency care( what a line of crap).called six different clinics and got a voice message they were terribly sorry but the clinic would be open at 8:AM Really?

I then called Banfield and told them I was being Deogie in and they needed to do x-rays or whatever the grill was needed to determine the cause of his suffering.

It is a 40 minute drive to the clinic, so I immediately had my neighbor drive me to Banfield. Upon arriving, I announced I need a stretcher immediately and they need to come out and get him. I waited at least 15 minutes and was intermittently informed they were working on it. At 20 minutes my friend came through the do it r and said, Janes, I think he stopped breathing. I ran out to the car and my precious vs g was deceased.

Anazingly, the situation suddenly became important and several techs came out.

Banfields egregious lack of communication, empathy and just common sense was never present throughout the whole nightmare.

I would never recommend Banfield to a single person. They are the quintessential example of what not to ever do to any fur baby or parent.

Banfield should lose their license and never be allowed to reopen this location again.

Customer service is not knowledgeable of what’s going on. They have cost me $93 bank fees for trying to get payments that wasn’t there and after the first time they knew this. Horrible horrible

The first time the man said it was fixed and it wouldn't go through until next month. Guess what?

They put it through again. The second time, the man said to call back in three days and they could waive the payment and your funds would be back in the bank. Guess what? I called in three days.

The man said they could waive the fee but couldn't return the money to my account. So, I have 78-dollar bank fees I can't pay because of them. This is not a very good company.

After five years with you and never had problems. I have a family who uses them also, but they haven't heard this story yet.

DI went and the so called manager Christin green was the rudest nastyiest h empathetic woman I have ever met she needs to find another job she has a heart of stone . And people love their pets like children she was using a gurney to get my 90 pound dog out of the trunk she couldnt lift she told me to to get into my car while they unloaded him because they were gonna drop him instead of lifting him she insisted you need get back in your car !

I told her dont you tell me what to do she said she could handle it but clearly could not ! I told her no I am gonna stand right here and watch you until hes out I want make sure he was treated in death humanly she had the wrong kind gurney and was gonna drop him out after he was lifted then when i refused to go away she got really nasty and insisted that my 21 yr old daughter help her ? Omg I couldnt believe her she has no business working There shes a witch then I asked for her boss and they have no number to get in touch with him ?

And the letter head head on my reciept had an email number thats no longer any good this is worst vet there ever was !!! How *** they stay in business at this rate hiring half *** rude nasty people I will never understand

Refund for bad surgery

I would like to speak to someone in charge who will refund me for the surgery that almost killed my dog. I had to take my dog to another vet to save her life.

User's recommendation: Don't ever take your animals to Banfield pet hospital if you love them at all you will take them else where. I have taken two of my dogs there and my loving Butterscotch died after her surgery there. At the time I thought it was due to the cancer but I am thinking it was just poor vet practice.bi just had my loving dog Olivia to have bladder stone surgery and once again they missed up. I call three different banfields to get her an appointment and none of them would take her even after I told them that she hasn't eaten anything in five fays

Banfield put me into collections after doing 10years of business with them on auto pay

Banfield hospital is nationwide. That is why I started with them for my fur baby 10 years ago.

I've had good and bad experiences. Banfield has serious issues between the store fronts and their customer service. They placed me into collections even though I updated my credit card, address and email address! They never updated my information Billing keeps using addresses that were old and old email addresses.

I never ever received anything saying they couldn't bill me, by email, regular mail txt or phone call. I received many emails and txts, but not about billing. Now they have placed me into collections trying to charge insane collection fees. Don't do business with them.

Manager stated that although I updated my information their systems don't connect with billing! Insane. Scam to hit you up for fees. Terrible customer service.

Also the vets are not consistent and anything past yearly check ups is a big problem. Over $600 is expensive for yearly comprehensive exams.

Can’t get my sick furry babies seen

One of my dogs has refused to eat food for the past 3 days.

Now my other dog who lives to eat and loves to eat has stopped eating.

My 3 rd dog has Alain stopped eating.

Banfield hospital near me are closed .

My regular banifield vet is unable to see them.

Mean while Im pay a considerable wellness fee to keep my babies healthy
