I took my dog to get his dental work done, just a cleaness. I was told in order for him to get his teeth clean, he would have to under go an x-ray for a heart murmur for $200, and and fee for other work done, only to have his teeth cleaned! I say why! They have already...

If you are highly educated, why would you be *** and use Banfield when there are so many small vet clinic that will give you better services?

Stay away from this Clinic. There Vet Tech's are not certified and will try to draw blood up to 5 times ( abuse). One of the Vet's is brand new out of school, Dr. Nakteboren and is horrible. I have heard numerous complaints about her not know what to do. There is no...

Uhm you obviously have never attempted to draw blood on a pet before. Especially one who may be aggressive, wiggly, extremely furry etc.

Sorry, but trying 5 times is not, in any shape or form, abuse. Even veternarians sometimes have trouble accessing a vein. It's not easy. Sometimes even when you hit the vein, the blood stops flowing. Sometimes the vein rolls. Sometimes the pet acts out and you have to pull out to avoid them stabbing themselves and have to retry when they calm down.

I could go on and on.

The techs go through very thorough training. It is not required to go to *** and get licensed. This isn't just at banfield either. Pretty much every vet hospital out there has techs that haven't gone to school or haven't finished school yet.

I've met some techs who went to school and are licensed that are terrible (non banfield) and I've met ones who never went to school and they are fantastic.

A license/certification doesn't mean they are great. Maybe you should educate yourself before making accusations.

Banfield Pet Hospital in Dallas, Texas - THEY TAKE YOUR MONEY

I bought a puppy in December and thought the Wellness Plan seemed like a good deal. They talked me into adding the neuter and now fast forward 2 months we decide we're not cut out for a puppy and now have to pay for the neuter we didn't even get! They also nicked me for a non refundable 40$ sign up fee that they failed to mention. It isn't worth the money and you don't save much going this route. I waited on the phone for at least 20 minutes before I could even talk to the rude woman telling me I was screwed and "sorry".

Banfield Pet Hospital diagnosed my pet with a Mast Cell Tumor in February 2013. I was told that it would be nearly $800 to remove the "mass" and I was instructed to give my dog 1/2 a Benadryl x2 daily. I was fooled into purchasing their "Wellness Plan" because this...

Banfield sends all samples to a lab the same labs other vets in the area use. It sounds unfortunate :( but I wouldn't blame the hospital.

Banfield Pet Hospital

We took my daughter's dog to Banfield hospital today for treatment of a severe skin allergy. Both the Vet and vet tech were rude and unprofessional. The vet was dismissive and not only ignored our questions when we pressed for answers to our questions she was rude and angry. The vet tech spoke down to us like we were beneath her. We left with a bag full of medication which they forced upon us, didn't explain to us still not really having any idea what was wrong with the dog since they refused to answer our questions. When we got home the ointment that the vet had put on my daughter's dog's sore caused an allergic reaction...we called to report the reaction and when we asked to speak with the vet the girl who answered the phone refused and replied just giver her a bath....all they cared about when we were there was pushing the wellness plan....they cared nothing for our dog or what was really wrong with her...so $300 later we still don't know what the issue is or how to help her....

Dear MaggieMay. You've already hit on what the problem is with your daughter's sweet dog.

"they cared nothing for our dog." Clearly the way to help her dog is to take her to a competent veterinarian with an efficient staff truly involved with pet and animal care. It's highly unlikely you will find satisfaction from Banfield, they've already gotten your money. I only pray you didn't fall victim to the wellness plan scheme.

Make as much noise as you can against these horrible people, and locate a good doctor. Best Wishes.
